This wasn’t the video I planned to make, but sometimes life doesn’t care about your plans.
I recently found out I have five tumors in my thyroid. The journey to this point has been unexpected, humbling, and a reminder that no one is immune to life’s curveballs … even former first responders.
Surgery is scheduled for July 1st. My entire thyroid is being removed, and I’ll be on medication for the rest of my life. I’ve stayed positive, leaned on faith, and tried to control what I can - but I’d be lying if I said it hasn’t been tough at times.
I hesitated to share this. It’s not really my style. But I knew I had to be honest with the audience here - especially because things might sound different after surgery.
